Welcome to our Behavior Genius Community Service Campaign! This year marks something especially meaningful.
Behavior Genius is celebrating 10 years of loving and serving its community—and bringing that longstanding commitment into its Culture Journey.
Through the Culture Journey, a new generation of Behavior Genius team members will have an opportunity to experience what it means to show up, serve, create community, and make an impact beyond their everyday roles.
But this isn't the beginning of the Behavior Genius and Carsyn Neille Foundation relationship.
Behavior Genius has been showing up for CNF and the families we serve for nearly a decade.
From the earliest days of the Foundation, Behavior Genius has been there—not simply as a donor or volunteer, but as a community that consistently says:
“How can we help?”
And then they show up.
Spotlight on Behavior Genius: The Heart and Soul of Our Partnership
One of the most meaningful parts of the Behavior Genius × CNF relationship is that this partnership has never existed only between organizations. It has been built through people.
Portia James
Before becoming a trusted mentor and advisor to CNF, Portia James served as the CEO of Behavior Genius and spent years serving on the Carsyn Neille Foundation's executive board.
During those years, Portia did something particularly meaningful: she listened to our families.
She interviewed families. She sat with their stories. She helped tell those stories.
Many of the family stories shared throughout CNF's history were written by Portia
herself—helping our community understand not just what these families were going through, but who they were.
Today, Portia continues to pour into CNF as a trusted organizational mentor and advisor. Her relationship with CNF represents something bigger than a professional partnership. It is friendship, stewardship, mentorship, and years of believing in the mission.
Join Us for Year 10
Over the years, Behavior Genius has supported the Carsyn Neille Foundation in so many meaningful ways. They have given monetary donations and in-kind gifts, provided volunteers for CNF projects, and helped bring Rooms to Thrive™ spaces to life. They have helped prepare and deliver items to families, cleared and prepared rooms, and stepped in wherever an extra set of hands was needed.
Sometimes that service looked like putting together Pikachu puzzles for Josh's room. Sometimes it meant helping clear, empty, and build Lucas' room. Sometimes it looked like hosting lemonade stands alongside our kiddos, giving generously, or simply answering the call when CNF needed help.
The contributions have looked different over the years, but the heart behind them has remained the same: Behavior Genius shows up.
Sometimes service is big. Sometimes it is as simple as putting together a puzzle. Sometimes it means picking up a tool and helping build. Sometimes it means giving. And sometimes, it simply means being there.
As we celebrate a decade of partnership with Behavior Genius, we are reminded of what can happen when a community chooses to care deeply, show up consistently, and give generously.
That's what community looks like.
