Whole-Home Wellness Consultations

Practical guidance for the place your family calls home.

When a child is diagnosed with cancer, home can take on new responsibilities—a place for rest, caregiving, recovery, and everyday family life.

Questions often follow. Which cleaning products should we use? What should we consider when choosing an air filter? Where do we start when changing everything feels overwhelming?

Whole-Home Wellness consultations offer families impacted by childhood cancer a place to begin. Together, we explore the home environment, identify priorities, and consider practical changes that fit the family’s needs, routines, and resources.

Start with what matters to your family.

Led by CNF Founder and Building Biologist Kia Davis, our approach combines environmental wellness education, healthy-design principles, and thoughtful attention to how families use their homes.

We listen first. Your concerns, your child’s needs, and the realities of your household help shape the conversation.

You do not need a perfect home—or a budget for a complete renovation—to ask for guidance.

What we can explore together.

Household and personal-care products
Reviewing commonly used products, understanding labels, and identifying alternatives that align with family preferences and care-team instructions.

Cleaning products and routines
Discussing cleaning supplies, fragrance, storage, and everyday practices. Any infection-prevention or disinfection instructions from your child’s healthcare team remain the priority.

Indoor air and filtration
Exploring ventilation, filter selection and replacement, portable air cleaners, and questions to discuss with an HVAC professional.

Moisture and home maintenance
Recognizing concerns such as leaks, persistent dampness, or musty odors and identifying when further assessment by a qualified professional may be needed.

Bedrooms and everyday comfort
Considering bedding, lighting, organization, and how the child’s space functions for rest, caregiving, and daily activities.

We focus on the areas most relevant to your family. Every consultation does not need to cover every topic.

From information to manageable action.

A consultation may include reviewing products already in the home, helping compare alternatives, and developing a short list of priorities.

When funding or donated supplies are available, CNF may also help coordinate selected product replacements.

Our goal is to help you understand your options and decide what is useful now, what can wait, and where specialized assistance may be appropriate.
